PCL & Multi-Ligament Knee Reconstruction
Injuries to the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), medial collateral ligament (MCL) and posterolateral corner (PLC) usually happen in high-energy sports injuries or road accidents. These injuries need careful assessment because more than one ligament is often involved.
When is it needed?
- Knee instability after a major injury
- Combined ACL + PCL / MCL / PLC tears
- Persistent pain and wobbling despite physiotherapy
Our approach
Each ligament is assessed individually. Treatment may be a brace and rehab for isolated injuries, or arthroscopic reconstruction of the torn ligaments to restore stability.
Recovery
Recovery is planned in phases – protecting the reconstruction first, then regaining movement and strength – with regular follow-ups.
