Frozen Shoulder Treatment
Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) causes painful stiffness of the shoulder. It is more common in people with diabetes and thyroid problems and in the 40–60 age group.
Typical symptoms
- Gradually increasing shoulder pain
- Difficulty raising the arm, wearing a shirt or reaching behind the back
- Disturbed sleep due to pain
Treatment
Most patients improve with medicines, targeted injections and physiotherapy. For a shoulder that remains stiff despite treatment, arthroscopic capsular release can help restore movement.
Recovery
Regular physiotherapy is the key to regaining full, pain-free movement after treatment.
